The books are currently in use in high schools, community colleges, company and union training programs and are purchased by individuals for self study. All four books were written at the request of employers who desired to improve the skill levels required for entry into apprenticeship programs. The first book was written in 1966 and is still in use today. I was then hired by the Industrial Mutual Association where I administered apprenticeship selection tests for Flint area automotive factories. I left the automotive industry to attend college. When the program was completed, I was selected to work as a detail draftsman.
